A wall of sawn timber stacked end on, hundreds of square cut faces

A small product foundry in Weesp. Four products of our own, each one taken from the first sketch to the thing somebody uses every day.

What the foundry does

Software is easy until it has tomeet something real. That meetingis the part we are actually good at.

01 — Popcorn

Ink on paper,cut to shape.

A design editor that runs in a browser tab and exports what a printer actually asked for. Colour, separations, overprint and packaging are handled by our own print engine.

02 — PageWebPro
A bar counter lit from within in an otherwise dark room

A website platform that also runs the business behind the site. Forms, bookings, tickets, a shop, visitor numbers, and an API an assistant can drive.

Dark weathered beam ends, each one split along the grain
03 — Kerf

The angle drawnis the angle cut.

Kerf takes the list a carpenter already writes and turns it into something a beam saw executes. Nobody at the machine retypes a measurement.

04 — hAire

A personin the loop.

Rather than wait for machines to be autonomous, hAire keeps a trained operator in the loop at a real address and lets the platform learn from a working floor instead of a laboratory.

The method

How a productgets made here.

Four rules. They are why the portfolio is small and why none of it is a wrapper around somebody else’s API.

01Start at the output

We begin at the end. What has to come out, in what format, and who has to accept it without phoning anybody. The screen is designed backwards from that.

02Draw it before you build it

Interfaces get drawn, argued about and thrown away on paper first. Paper is the cheapest place in the world to be wrong.

03Calibrate against reality

Real production files, real machines, real printers. Nothing counts as supported here until something physical comes out correct.

04Ship, then stay

We run what we build. That is why the products keep getting better in the places customers actually notice.
